This has been such a great summer. God has certainly blessed those of us at First Baptist of Gilbert. As we look forward to a new church year and school year, it is my prayer that we will use the strength God has given us, this summer, to take with us where ever we go. Let Jesus be the "Light of the World", as Pastor George shared with us on the first day back to school, through us to everyone we come in contact with. I've started back to school too, and I have seen many of you at school-I love it. Be strong, no matter how young you are and let others see Jesus in you. WE CAN DO IT. It's not always easy for adults; but, together we can make a difference for Jesus at Gilbert. I love you all, I will be here for you, and I am praying for you as you start this new year!
I am looking for helpers on Sunday night, during the worship service, for the children. If you can help, please let me know a.s.a.p. I hope to have enough of helpers to begin the class on September 12th. Ask God whether or not he wants you to help.
Fall Festival is next month. Please be thinking about how Jesus wants you to help. If anyone has any 'fresh ideas' I will be happy to hear them!
